Broadspire Introduces Partner Program Aimed At Non-Profits;Plan Enables Charities To Generate Revenue, Ease Into Online Commerce

LOS ANGELES (June 7, 2004) BroadSpire (www.broadspire.com),a leading web hosting provider, today introduced a new partner program designed to enable non-profit organizations to generate revenue while jump-starting their own growth on the Internet.

Effective immediately, the BroadSpire "Host for Charity" program offers qualified, 501(c)3 non-profit organizations the opportunity to earn a recurring commission simply by referring their membership base to BroadSpire as they simultaneously break into online commerce.

"With the economic recovery spotty and the squeeze on non-profit organizations greater than ever, the prospect of generating income quickly and easily feels more like a pipe dream than a reality to many non-profits," said Suresh Srinivasan, CEO, BroadSpire. "The premise of our new program is simple: virtually every non-profit needs web hosting and design services, so why not build the organization's coffers while partnering with a reliable provider?  This is a novel, effective way for non-profits to generate needed new revenue."

BroadSpire modeled its referral program on its successful relationship with Rhizome.org (www.rhizome,org), a leading non-profit online platform for the new media art community.  As part of this arrangement, BroadSpire provides web hosting services to the Rhizome.org site, and serves as the de facto hosting company for each of the sites within the sprawling artist community.

According to Rachel Greene, executive director, Rhizome.org, "with our BroadSpire affiliate program in full swing, the relationship has been a great way for us to develop a new income stream.  And our customers continue to appreciate BroadSpire's competence and responsiveness."  In Rhizome's experience, the relationship has been the very model of a win-win. The non-profit's members are benefit because BroadSpire typically offers special pricing plans, and the non-profit gains because it can generate income outside of the usual donation stream.

Based in New York, Rhizome, org core services include its web site, commissions, events and on-line discussions/publications.  Its clientele is geographically dispersed, and consists of artists, curators, writers, designers, programmers, students, educators and new media professionals.

When Rhizome.org embarked on quest for a hosting partner last year, the company conducted a thorough review, seeking a web host that could satisfy its community of proud, tech-savvy artists, who would closely monitor and scrutinize the online display and handling of their creations.  At the same time, Rhizome was viewing the effort not simply as a means to satisfy its own hosting needs, but as a new business opportunity - through a partner program - capable of generating recurring revenue.

After intensely researching more than two dozen web hosting providers, Rhizome.org selected BroadSpire.  Rhizome lauded BroadSpire for its full range of services and features, competitive prices and its extremely high quality customer care, including hands-on, exceptionally responsive, service.
